This session will provide an overview of implementation lessons and outcomes from 10 urban communities across the United States implementing a neighborhood-based economic inclusion model designed to address both social determinants of health and structural barriers to economic opportunity. The model, “Community-Centered Economic Inclusion (CCEI)” was co-developed by Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and the Brookings Institution’s Bass Center for Transformative Placemaking in 2020, and funded by Kaiser Permanente in 2021 to enhance inclusive public health and economic outcomes in 10 historically disinvested neighborhoods.
