On December 5th, 2024, the NutriCare Research Team, with support from the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation of Harvard Law School, the American Cancer Society, The Ohio State University, and the Food is Medicine Institute at Tufts University, will host a unique one-day symposium on the role of "Food is Medicine" in cancer care. This event will bring together healthcare providers, researchers, patient advocates, and community leaders to discuss nutrition’s impact on cancer care and survivorship. Keynote speakers include Dr. Andrew Bremer, Director of the NIH Office of Nutrition Research, and Dr. Chris Economos, Dean of the Friedman School of Nutrition Science at Tufts University. Panels will cover patient experiences, research advancements, delivery of nutrition programs, and policy initiatives promoting equitable access to nutrition in cancer care.
