Voices of Health Equity: Moving from Community Engagement to Community Action: The Southside Center for Wellbeing

Thursday, May 22, 2025 (12:00 AM - 12:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

Speakers from Virginia Community Voice will share their unique & scalable model of equitable community engagement (Listen, Connect, Craft, & Reflect), and both how their model centers communities’ priorities and led us to create the RVA Southside Center for Wellbeing (CWB), a novel solution designed by & with neighbors to heal minds, bodies, & spirits in South Richmond, VA. Speakers will explain and provide examples of each stage of the model, how data is used and incorporated into the work, how VACV shares power with communities, and the specific community needs that drove the creation of the CWB.

VACV is convening holistic health practitioners and historically marginalized neighbors to build and design the CWB. The CWB focuses on community rest, healing, connection to services, greenspace, addressing SDOH and building community.

Registrants will receive a Zoom link to join this webinar upon registration.
