Join us for a dynamic, 2.5-hour virtual training designed to introduce key concepts of health equity and health-related social needs. Health Equity 101 will guide participants through an engaging journey of self-reflection and collaborative learning, highlighting how personal identity and values shape our understanding of disparities.
What You’ll Experience:
- Breakout sessions for in-depth group discussions
- Interactive activities exploring identity, values, and community needs
- A post-session survey to improve future trainings
Participants will leave this training able to:
- Define health equity and its importance
- Identify disparities tied to health-related social needs
- Reflect on their own identity and how it influences perspective
- Compare personal values and viewpoints with others
This session also offers CEUs (for Michigan-based social workers and community health workers only).
